This course, aimed at advisers familiar with the main managed migration rules, focuses on how to calculate the transitional element, including how the amount changes over time.

People moved to universal credit from tax credits and legacy benefits may be unsure how their new universal credit award is worked out. Has the transitional element been calculated correctly? 

The benefits system is a decisions-based system. This course gives advisers the technical understanding needed to successfully navigate it, by explaining in detail the rules about how a decision can be made and then changed.
