This course aims to equip you with the practical knowledge you need to help your clients navigate the migration to universal credit.

This course focuses on the transitional issues for claimants who are moving from employment and support allowance (ESA) to universal credit (UC). It is expected that all remaining claimants in Scotland will be moved to UC under the managed migration process during 2025.

This practical one-morning course will give advisers more confidence about the different forms of support for carers in the benefits system. With a focus on carers’ allowance and the carer element of universal credit, the course explains which claimants can get these, how much they are worth, and how the two interact. The course also looks at carer premiums and additions in other benefits.
