The Social Security Legislation series is a multi-volume work providing the relevant legislative text with detailed explanatory commentary, including reference to all relevant decisions of the courts, the Upper Tribunal and the former Social Security Commissioners.

Volume two focuses on the default means-tested benefits: universal credit for working-age claims and  state pension credit for pension-age claims.

It also covers social fund provisions for maternity and funeral expenses and for cold weather payments, along with associated rules on persons subject to immigration control.
