About this course
This course is aimed at frontline advisers supporting claimants in work and for advisers supporting claimants back into work.
With the roll out of universal credit (UC) to all tax credit claimants in progress, and the migration of other legacy benefit claimants imminent, more claimants will be faced with conditionality not encountered in the legacy benefit system. They will need support to help them to understand the complex universal credit system.
The course covers:
- Who has to look for work
- What counts as earnings
- The impact of earnings on UC payments and conditionality
- The issues with self-employment, including the minimum income floor
This course is aimed at front line advisers with a working knowledge of UC.
