New resource for school communities - the Cost of the School Day Ideas Bank
The Cost of the School Day Ideas Bank showcases what school communities around Scotland are doing to reduce costs and make sure everyone can fully take part in their school day.
The Ideas Bank is made up of more than 40 short, impactful case studies, all of which feature activities, innovations or policy changes made by schools to reduce pressure on families and ensure children feel ready to learn. It’s a collection of really practical, ‘tried and tested’ ideas direct from practitioners, which are designed to inspire school communities to make even more cost conscious changes.
To help practitioners dip in and out of the resources whenever they’re looking for new insights, the Ideas Bank is organised into popular themes, including ‘School Uniform’, ‘Entitlements and financial support, ‘Learners in the Lead, ‘Eating at school’ and more.
The Ideas Bank is a flexible, responsive resource which can be added to at any time. It's already receiving fantastic feedback from users in schools and local authorities:
"This is a great piece of work that can continue to evolve. I love it!"
"The resource looks fantastc. It was lovely to share it with staff."
"Brilliant resource from CPAG Scotland on how schools can cut the Cost of the School Day to better support families on low incomes."
