Seminar: It's time to go - universal credit and managed migration, Thursday 23 November 2023 (Glasgow)

People in Scotland are now moving to universal credit through the managed migration process. This seminar is for advisers to learn about the latest developments and share tactics on how best to help clients manage the move. We will consider how to make the most of opportunities to maximise income and look at issues that particularly affect people in Scotland.

SCOTLAND'S WELFARE RIGHTS CONFERENCE, Friday 9 June 2023

As we return for our first face to face conference in three years the challenges facing low-income families and the welfare rights and frontline workers who advise and support them are greater than ever. The ongoing cost of living crisis, universal credit migration, the benefit issues EU nationals face following Brexit and planned changes to work capability assessments with implications for Scotland’s new disability payments are all issues adding to the challenge of ensuring people get the social security support they are entitled to.

Webinar: Managed Migration, Wednesday 29 March 2023

This webinar looked, in detail, at the process by which claimants will be managed migrated from legacy benefits to UC. It considered the process by which claimants will move onto UC, the rules regarding transitional protection to ensure that claimants are not worse off at the point that they move onto UC, and the way in which transitional protection works once claimants are on UC.
