As we pass the sixth anniversary of Scotland’s social security system, over a million people get support from Social Security Scotland. Appeals for adult disability payment and other Scottish benefits are becoming an important and growing part of an adviser’s case work.

CPAG in Scotland’s welfare rights seminar provides a timely opportunity to take stock of where we are at with Scottish benefit appeals – what are the differences, what are the challenges, what caselaw is emerging?  We will look at process and tactics and provide an update and analysis of Scottish social security caselaw.

If you are helping claimants to challenge Social Security Scotland determinations or representing at the First-tier Tribunal or at the Upper Tribunal, join us for an afternoon with welfare right colleagues to learn more, reflect on developments and share your experiences.

The seminar will be led by CPAG in Scotland welfare rights experts, with a track record of delivering specialist advice and training on challenges and appeals in the Scottish system.
