Work with a sector-leading charity
Align your firm with a high-impact charity, working to end child poverty in the UK. Founded in 1965, we have a long-standing reputation in the sector. We operate our legal services under the Specialist Quality Mark quality assurance standard.
In return for your backing we'll give your staff access to training courses, conferences and seminars, or bespoke in-house training, and a range of in-print and online handbooks and other expert resources to develop their welfare rights knowledge and skills.
By supporting CPAG you'll be helping us to challenge unfair legal decisions so children and their families in poverty have access to justice.
How your funding makes a difference
You can choose to fund our policy and research work, our education work with young people, welfare rights advice, our strategic litigation team and our work in Scotland. We also welcome unrestricted funding so we can direct finances to where we need them most.

Ways to fundraise for and support us
- Corporate donations
- Employee fundraising and engagement
- Strategic funding of our legal work
- Pro bono legal work
Corporate donations
Donate to us directly to help fund our vital work, helping protect the rights of struggling families in the UK. You can choose to fund a specific project or area of work, or donate unrestricted funding to our work.
Employee fundraising and engagement
Whether you’re interested in running, cycling, walking, creating your own fundraising idea, or want to do something as a team or across your business, we’d love to work with you!
You could make us your charity of the year. We can work together to create an exciting and motivating calendar of fundraising events. Our team will be there every step of the way to support and inspire your fundraising ideas.
Another easy way for your employees to support our charity through payroll giving. Their donation is taken from their gross salary, before tax. This is a flexible, tax efficient way to give to a charity of your employees' choice through their salary.
Strategic funding of CPAG legal work
Many families in poverty are negatively affected by unfair or untested law and legislation. In an area where legal aid provision is scarce, our legal interventions are crucial for safeguarding access to welfare benefits, ensuring accountability and challenging systemic issues that contribute to poverty in the UK.
You could fund a project aligned with our legal work or an additional post to increase our capacity to take on legal and welfare rights related work.

Pro bono legal work
We rely on pro bono support from law firms for much of CPAG's 'own name' legal work, when we are not representing families or individuals. You could help us to challenge the structural inequalities which lead to child poverty and to push for change.
CPAG was a core participant in modules 8 and 9 of the Covid Inquiry, which looked at the treatment of children in the pandemic and the government’s economic response. In our submissions, we drew attention to the consequences of the poor level of support offered to families through the social security system.
Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer LLP and Norton Rose Fulbright LLP provided significant pro bono legal services during the year to enable our participation in the inquiry. The support from Norton Rose Fulbright was provided as part of their wider strategic partnership with Save the Children, one of our co-core participants in Module 8 of the Covid-19 Inquiry. Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer provided support in relation to Module 9, which involved consideration of the government's economic response to the pandemic.
