About this course
Pension age disability payment (PADP) replaces attendance allowance as the main disability benefit for people living in Scotland who have reached pension age. Getting an award of PADP can significantly increase income and so it is a crucial benefit for older people. This course will give you an understanding of the main rules and help you to identify people who may be entitled.
The course covers:
• Who is entitled to PADP
• How to claim
• Some knock-on effects of getting an award of PADP
This course is aimed at advisers and support workers with little or no experience of PADP.
The course will be delivered online via Zoom from 10am to 1pm.
It is a practical course, delivered using a combination of trainer presentation, exercises and group discussion. Participants will need a Wi-Fi connection and a suitable device to access the internet. It is not recommended to join via a mobile phone.
