CPAG's 2026 Budget response

Responding to today’s Budget, policy director of Child Poverty Action Group Sara Ogilvie said:

"There were crumbs of comfort today for struggling families but the flat-rate energy support measures take no account of the presence of children in a household, leaving millions of vulnerable kids exposed this winter. Hard-pressed families will only feel fresh hope when government provides targeted and substantive support to keep them afloat as living costs rise."
