Child Poverty Action Group CEO gains peerage
Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG) charity is proud to share the news that its chief executive since 2010 Alison Garnham has been granted a life peerage.
CPAG has recently played a major role in bringing about a government-wide child poverty strategy, abolition of the two-child limit and wider eligibility for free school meals.
Ms Garnham said:
“We’ve seen some good first steps towards reducing child poverty but there is much more to do. I look forward to working from the Lords to ensure every child in the UK has a fair start.”
