Universal Credit Update and Tactics, 13 & 14 March 2024 ONLINE

Universal credit (UC) changes all the time, as the law is amended, as it is implemented in practice, and as local delivery changes.

This course is an opportunity for experienced advisers to get up to date with the latest developments. You will be able to share experiences of universal credit and discuss legal and practical approaches to best support clients.

The course covers:

• Changes made as a result of the coronavirus outbreak
• Other changes to the law and recent caselaw affecting UC
• Current legal challenges
• Common practical problems in UC and approaches to tackle them

This course is aimed at advisers with knowledge and experience of advising on UC.  Those less experienced should book first on the introductory level course Universal Credit – An Introduction or standard level Universal Credit training.

Method of delivery and timings

This full-day experienced level course will be delivered online via Zoom over two consecutive mornings. It runs from 10am to 1pm on each day, with a half hour break between 11.15-11.45.

It is a practical course delivered using a combination of trainer presentation, exercises and group discussion. Participants will need a Wi-Fi connection and a suitable device to access the internet. It is not recommended to join via a mobile phone. Participants will receive an email a few days before the start of the course, with a link to the event hosted on our AskCPAG elearning platform.
