This course gives an overview of which benefits have been and are to be devolved and delivered by Social Security Scotland. Aimed at advisers with a working knowledge of the benefits system, it explains how the entitlement rules and decision-making processes are different in the new Scottish system.
The course covers:
• Who is entitled to Scottish benefits
• Claiming Scottish benefits
• Redeterminations and appeals
• Future plans, and the impact of the coronavirus outbreak on them
This course is aimed at advisers with a working knowledge of the benefits system.
This 'one-day equivalent' standard level course will be delivered online over two mornings as follows;

This is a practical course, delivered using a combination of trainer presentation, exercises and group discussion. Participants will need a Wi-Fi connection and a suitable device to access the internet. It is not recommended to join via a mobile phone. Participants will receive an email link, a few days before the start of the course, to allow access to the event.
