Preparing an appeal submission for the First-tier Tribunal (Scotland), 12 – 13 October 2022 ONLINE

This course covers the appeals system, how and when to appeal and how to prepare for the hearing. 

The course looks at the whole process for challenging a decision from reconsideration to hearing including:

• When a reconsideration is needed
• The process of lodging an appeal
• Appeal preparation including getting further evidence and preparing a written submission
• What tribunals can and cannot consider.

Using practical examples, the aim is to increase confidence and share tactics in representing at the First-tier Tribunal.

The course will be delivered online via Zoom from 10am to 1pm each day with a half hour break from 11.15 – 11.45. 

It is a practical course, delivered using a combination of trainer presentation, exercises and group discussion. Participants will need a Wi-Fi connection and a suitable device to access the internet. It is not recommended to join via a mobile phone. Participants will receive an email a few days before the start of the course, with a link to the event hosted on our AskCPAG elearning platform.
