Coronavirus, benefits and work (Scotland) 11 May 2021 ONLINE
The government’s coronavirus job retention scheme and self-employment income support scheme have provided help during the pandemic, while other support has been introduced for low income workers required to isolate. Some people may have the option of returning to work at reduced hours, while others may face the prospect of redundancy and unemployment. The impact of coronavirus continues, particularly for people who are sick, isolating or have vulnerable family members.
The course covers:
• What benefits and support is available if unable to work due to sickness or isolation
• How the coronavirus job retention scheme and the self-employed income support scheme affect universal credit and tax credits
• What benefits to claim if made redundant
This half day standard level course will be delivered online via Zoom from 10am to 1pm with a half hour break from 11.15 – 11.45.
