Coronavirus and benefits – sickness, furlough and redundancy (Scotland) 11 December 2020 ONLINE
The government’s extended coronavirus job retention scheme and self-employment income support scheme will continue to provide help during the pandemic, while other support has been introduced for low income workers required to isolate. Some people may have the option of returning to work at reduced hours, while others may face the prospect of redundancy and unemployment. The impact of coronavirus will continue, particularly for people who are sick, isolating or have vulnerable family members.
The course covers:
• What benefits and support is available if unable to work due to sickness or isolation
• How the job support scheme and the self-employed income support scheme affect universal credit and tax credits, and what happens when this support ends
• What benefits to claim if made redundant
