Scotland Webinar: Universal credit - migration and other issues

We are pleased to announce that we will be running our first live webinar on 3 February 2021; Universal credit - migration and other issues. More information and booking here.

Online training

We have a full programme of online training courses that have been designed to help advisers stay informed and up-to-date during the current public health crisis.

Our online programme running since June has been very successful and we will continue to deliver training online into 2021. The courses range in topic and training level to suit all learning requirements and are run by our same experienced tutors in small class groups using the Zoom platform.

It is important to choose the right level of course!

Basic level courses: for frontline workers who do not work in welfare rights but want to know about benefit issues relevant to their clients to give basic advice or refer on.

Introductory level courses: for people new to benefit advice work or who have little or no experience of the subject covered by the course.

Standard level courses: for people with a working knowledge of the benefits system or the subject covered by the course. These are suitable for people wanting a refresher or to update skills or information.

Experienced level courses: for more experienced benefit advisers, who are confident about covering issues in more and sometimes complex detail.

Scottish National Standards (SNS)

Many of our courses cover the skills and knowledge required to meet the Scottish National Standards for Information and Advice Providers. For further details please see our Scottish National Standards page.

Course materials and access

For face to face training we can provide course packs in large print. All our training venues are wheelchair accessible. Please indicate on your booking form if you have any other needs or call us to discuss them.
