In addition to A Day Late and a Dollar Short coming up on 6 October, we are pleased to announce two more Scotland Webinars for the months ahead;
It's here! The new child disability payment from Social Security Scotland - Wednesday 1 December 2021
From 22 November 2021 child disability payment (CDP) will replace disability living allowance (DLA) for children for new claims across Scotland. Aimed at people who are already familiar with the DLA rules, this webinar will get you up to speed on how the new benefit is different. More information and booking here.
Mix 'n' match - UC when you're pension age - Tuesday 1 February 2022
UC is a working age benefit but some people over state pension age have to claim it. Before May 2019, if you were part of a couple where one was working age and the other pension age, you could choose to claim UC or pension credit and housing benefit. You no longer have that choice, but when and how these ‘mixed aged couple’ rules apply continues to cause confusion. More information and booking here.
There are still some places available to book for the first of the Webinars;
A Day Late and a Dollar Short – limited capability for work and its effects on universal credit entitlement- Tuesday 5 October 2021
People with health conditions and disabilities rely on timely work capability assessments to get their full entitlement to universal credit (UC). But too often delays leave people stuck on a reduced income, or out of pocket when elements are paid from the wrong date. This webinar, taking place 1 - 3.30pm on Tuesday 5 October 2021 online, will provide tips, experiences and insights into getting assessments carried out and elements correctly in payment.
