End Child Poverty campaign

The End Child Poverty (ECP) coalition was set up in 2003 to leverage the work of a wide range of groups all of whom shared the objective of eradicating child poverty by 2020.

ECP aims to:

• Inform the public about the causes and effects of child poverty

• Forge commitment between, and across, the public, private and voluntary sectors to end child poverty by 2020

• Promote the case for ending child poverty by 2020 with this and every future Government.

Today, with over 150 member organisations including children’s charities, unions, faith groups and many different kinds of civic society organisations, ECP continues to work together to build the public and political support necessary to ensure this goal is met.

ECP regularly publishes statistics revealing local child poverty rates by constituency, local authority and ward.
